10 years later

Tomorrow marks the tenth anniversary of the death of lyricist Notorious BIG ( born, (Christopher George Latore Wallace) May 21, 1972 . On March 9th 1997, biggie smalls was gunned down after a party for the recent Soul Train music awards, the party was sponsored by Vibe magazine and held in the “Petersen Automotive Museum” in Los Angeles. Biggie was in the passenger seat of his green SUV when a black car pulled up along side and unloaded shells into the sides of Rappers SUV. Friend and fellow rapper and now producer Sean “puffy” combs was in the vehicle ahead when the incident took place. Biggie was rushed to the hospital, but the shots were fatal, he died in the hospital and died in the early morning hours of March 9th 1997. The case is still unsolved with no suspects charged.



The hip hop community has morned the death of the rapper since the day he passed celebrating his life with many tracks dedicated to him and his style of rapping. I think I safely say that almost every aspiring and accomplished artist has had some degree of influence from Biggies gangsta rapping lifestyle and music.
